About what expected,
This is a decently functioning keyboard with WebOS specific keys. Additional functionality would be nice, but can be added to WebOS in the future.
The keyboard is pretty good for a thin “chiclet” style. The keys have more throw than I expected (a good thing).
Two issues that are just bad product design. Neither detract too much for the keyboard, but should be addressed in further revs.
1 – It would be simple to put an arrow on the battery door. Currently there is no hint as to how to put in the batteries without reading the instructions. That is fine. What happens in 6 months when the batteries die and you don’t have the instructions? This is a simple thing that would have made the instant experience better and eliminate annoyances in the future.
2 – The power button has a very subtle difference as to on and off. Only visible in good lighting. Again, a 1/0 addition to the battery cover could help this, but it is another usability fail. A product should be usable without reading anything, when it is this simple.
The keyboard connects rapidly when turning on and works well. Other than the few design misses, it is a solid keyboard.

|Extends the usefulness of the TouchPad,
I love my keyboard. And I’m using it now to type out this review. I’m very happy with it here are the pros and cons.
Pros:
+ Nice to type on, just feels good.
+ Battery life is reported to be very good lasting about 6 months.
+ When it comes down to writing something extensive, using a onscreen keyboard just won’t cut it. The wireless keyboard extends the usefulness of the TouchPad, so you can use it for emailing, blogging, chatting, and reviewing products on Amazon.
+ webOS specific keys to control volume, playback, searching, check notifications, and brightness.
Cons:
- Software is buggy. Not the keyboard’s fault, but sometimes the caps lock key is stuck. To fix it, I just press a combination of shift, caps lock, uncaps lock
- Battery case is kinda hard to figure out
- Arrow keys don’t work. Again, a webOS issue, not the keyboard.

|Awesome with Mac Mini and iPad, instead of Apple’s keyboard.,
I wasn’t sure if this would work with an iPad and a Mac Mini, but the rest of my computer peripherals are HP and are black, as is the face of my iPad, so I thought I’d give this a try. Lo and behold, it works great.
It is about the same size as the Apple bluetooth keyboard, which is great for portability or for a media server. It pairs easily with both the iPad and the Mini by simply typing in the key code displayed on the screen.
The HP special function acts as the Apple special key, and the audio buttons also work with the Mini. I picked this up for about $40, and am very pleased with the purchase.
